Public Interest Litigation [PIL]

A person can file the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the court for the interest. The litigation can be filed in the matters of terrorism, bonded labor, acid attack, pollution, road safety, environmental degradation, constructional hazards to name a few. PIL traces its roots in 1976 in a case Mumbai Kamagar Sabha vs. Abdul Thai.
